About the authors:

Yasmin Latchman is from St. Vincent and currently lives in Barbados. She is passionate about women’s health and its equity and accessibility in the Caribbean. She is a human biology major at Stanford University and aspires to become an OB-GYN one day. She wanted to create this curriculum because she believes Barbados is at a point where sustainable products may be feasible for many people, but education around using them is limited. She wanted to make an open-source curriculum that could help bridge the gap.

Averi Van Haselen is from Denver, Colorado but currently resides in West Lafayette Indiana. She is most  passionate about creating equitable health care access and health education. She is a Neurobiology major at Purdue University and currently minoring in Spanish and Sociology. She is aspiring to hopefully become a Pediatrician in the future and travel the world helping out where she can. She started assisting in creating this curriculum because periods are a big part of a woman’s life but they are not nearly talked about enough
especially in schools. She was hoping that any contribution she made could help young girls
so they wouldn’t be as lost as she was :)
